The Conflict of Interest and Ethical Commitment Worksheet is a declaration completed by the author(s) of a manuscript regarding its publication. By signing this form, the author(s) confirm their adherence to the following statements and demonstrate to readers how the manuscript has been prepared and presented:
- The corresponding author, on behalf of all co-authors, signs this form and confirms the authenticity of its content. The corresponding author also declares that the manuscript is the result of their own research activities and those of their collaborators, and that the rights of all individuals who have contributed to or cooperated in the research have been duly respected.
- Full scientific and legal responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of the content rests with all authors, and the journal bears no responsibility in this regard.
- The legal responsibility for any omission of the full name(s) of other author(s) in the manuscript rests with the corresponding author, as all correspondence from the journal office is conducted exclusively with the corresponding author.
- The authors confirm full compliance with publication ethics, including avoidance of plagiarism, scientific misconduct, data fabrication, duplicate submission, and duplicate publication.
- This work has not been previously published and is not under simultaneous consideration by another journal.
- If the corresponding author withdraws the manuscript after the peer-review process has has begun, the review fees announced by the journal office shall be accepted and paid by the corresponding author.
- If the manuscript is derived from a funded research project, thesis, dissertation, or similar academic work conducted at an organization or research institution, the authors are obliged to acknowledge the funding body or research sponsor in the manuscript.
- Throughout the preparation of the manuscript, all national laws and regulations, as well as ethical principles of research and professional conduct related to the subject of the study—including the rights of human subjects, organizations and institutions, authors, and compilers—have been observed. The authors also confirm compliance with the research misconduct guidelines of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and the Ethical Charter of the University of Kurdistan.
- All rights to use the manuscript’s content, including tables, figures, images, and related materials, are transferred from the author(s) to the journal. The journal is authorized to publish, use, and distribute the manuscript without limitation, provided that the author(s) are properly credited. Publication may occur under an open-access model, and no additional permission is required from the author(s), funding institutions, or affiliated organizations.
Additional Conditions
- The order of authors and their identifying information in the manuscript shall be determined solely based on the information submitted by the corresponding author through the journal’s submission system and the manuscript file, and cannot be altered thereafter.
- Use of an official university email address is mandatory for faculty members. Other authors are also strongly encouraged to use institutional email addresses (e.g., university, research institute, or research center).
- The manuscript has been prepared and formatted in accordance with the guidelines for manuscript preparation and submission of the University of Kurdistan journals.
